États-Unis : l’iPhone toujours en grande forme


Qui a dit qu’Apple était sur la pente descendante ? Pas ComScore en tout cas : la société d’analyses a livré ses chiffres mensuels pour ce qui concerne les États-Unis durant la période de novembre/décembre/janvier et surprise, l’iPhone est le seul smartphone qui gagne des points par-rapport au trimestre précédent. Apple représente sur ce marché 37,8% du marché, soit 3,5 points de plus. Google et Android affichent 52,3%, avec 1,3 point de moins.

Voilà des nouvelles fort encourageantes pour Apple, alors que certains analystes catastrophistes pronostiquaient un gadin du smartphone pommé. Cupertino est d’ailleurs le seul constructeur à tirer son épingle du jeu, car tout le reste de la concurrence est en mauvaise posture : BlackBerry se contente de 5,9% à -1,9 point, et Microsoft 3,1% (-0,1%).
Au classement des constructeurs, Apple conserve la première place devant Samsung avec 37,8% du marché et une croissance de 3,5 points. Samsung est deuxième avec 21,4%, mais n’engrange que 1,9 point. HTC et Motorola perdent des plums avec respectivement 9,7% (-1,7) et 8,6% (-1,4). Contrairement à ce que semble penser Wall Street, Apple se porte donc toujours aussi bien.

Apple ranked as the top smartphone manufacturer with 37.8 percent OEM market share, while Google Android led as the #1 smartphone platform with 52.3 percent platform market share.

129.4 million people in the U.S. owned smartphones (55 percent mobile market penetration) during the three months ending in January, up 7 percent since October. Apple ranked as the top OEM with 37.8 percent of U.S. smartphone subscribers (up 3.5 percentage points from October). Samsung ranked second with 21.4 percent market share (up 1.9 percentage points), followed by HTC with 9.7 percent share, Motorola with 8.6 percent and LG with 7 percent (up 0.3 percentage points).
